Turmeric is an ancient spice often credited for helping with inflammation, digestion, brain boost as well as having numerous other health benefits. If you're like me, it takes a bit to get used to the vibrant flavor of turmeric. I enjoy drinking it in tea - the sweetness and added flavors help tone down this bold spice.
Ingredients: 1 cup almond milk 1 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp Cinnamon a small piece of fresh peeled ginger (or more if you want a strong taste) 1 tsp coconut oil pinch of black pepper (helps your body absorb the turmeric) honey Do This: Heat ingredients on stove for 5 minutes. If you want a frothy texture, add the mixture to Vitamix/blender along with the coconut oil. Blend for 1-2 minutes. Pour into mug and enjoy!

You know those moments when you feel Jesus speak to you but fear of uncertainty holds you back? Or you feel Him calling you to something but you're not sure? Wow, I do. It can be paralyzing.
The other day an Instagram post caught my eye and it concerned moving towards our calling step by step - being in motion. I started thinking back over each time Jesus has clearly opened a door for me and at other times closed them. Some of those closed doors could be labeled as failures yet each one served its purpose to draw me closer to Him. The doors that were opened always remind me how powerful Jesus is and that my selfish needs and desires are far below what He desires for me. The Bible is full of men and women who chose to listen to God even though their lives would be filled with uncertainty - but they followed God's lead anyway. It seems like God begins to tug on our hearts to get our attention. What we do with that tug is so important! It's like He's waiting to see if we will step outside of our comfort zone and trust Him or choose to ignore it until we feel like we have the whole puzzle put together and then act. Our relationship with Jesus is based on faith. When we choose to follow Him, it means doing things that won't make sense to the world and fit its pattern. Making the decision to MOVE when He's tugging even though we don't know if we're doing the right thing at least gets us in motion. Then when He sees us acting out of faith while seeking Him and asking for His guidance, He'll open and close the right doors along the way. Otherwise, if you're like me, you'll overanalyze and overthink every possibility until you talk yourself out of every opportunity God is calling you to serve. I realize there will still be times of silence but in that silence just keep moving forward in the direction God is calling you. If I had known how easy it is to make peanut butter and how amazing it tastes, I would have started making it long ago. Here we go:
Ingredients: 4 cups roasted peanuts (I buy unroasted peanuts then roast them myself. The flavor seems to be much better when I do it this way.) 1 Tbsp. Coconut oil salt to taste honey to taste You could also add vanilla or cocoa if you want a flavored peanut butter. Do This: Add ingredients to your food processor. Pulse it several times until ingredients are mixed a bit and crumbly. Then blend until a smooth consistency is reached (this may take a few minutes). Once done, put into a mason jar. Hey Everyone!
